The
Ideal Human Environment (IHE)
Story
1.
Where did the concept of the IHE come
from?
In
1968 a young soldier returned from the Vietnam War having
realised first hand, that war must be the Worst Human
Environment.
His
simple reasoning was; if the Worst Human Environment was war,
then what conditions (laws) could create the IHE
2. Had anyone in human
history set out to discover the laws to create the
IHE?
Half
a decade of intensive research revealed there was no recorded
research on the IHE ever undertaken in human
history.
3.
How long did it take to discover the laws which would create
the IHE?
It
took another decade of empirical field research to establish
the basic laws we needed to create the IHE. The rest was trial and
error.
4. Has the IHE actually
been created?
The
IHE has now been in operation and has continually been
perfected since 1969.

How was
this possible?
Initially, approximately ten families
volunteered to become the researchers and the researched ie
participants and ‘guinea
pigs’.
6. What was
the idea of
that?
The idea was that we would endeavour to
have all these people (approx forty) run their normal,
everyday lives as one united cooperating unit.
Everything in their daily lives had to be coordinated
as one family unit. It was thought this would create fertile
grounds for all sorts of conflicts to arise.
They certainly did! If we were going to
discover what creates conflict and how to solve them, this was
the source, we thought.
7. What did
this
prove
It certainly proved that people cannot
naturally cooperate or work harmoniously
together!
8. What was the
result?
Well, we certainly discovered that
conflict was the normal result of placing people
together. It also showed us
practically, that the laws we were using for human association
were practically useless. They did not work at
all. We had to quickly find new,
real, workable laws for human
association.
9. What did you do
then?
It forced us to come up with completely
new laws for human association. In fact, the laws we were
looking for had obviously never, ever, in human history been
known and therefore never been
used.

What were
these
laws?
The laws applied to create the IHE are
presented separately in the IHE
Leadership & Management training manual which includes
six fundamental laws and twenty paradigm shifts, referred to
as the 6 x
20.
11. What has
been the main finding in the IHE research so
far?
The main finding in the IHE research, so
far, clearly indicates that human perception is flawed.
This means, that when we look, we do not all see the
same things. When we listen, we do not
all hear the same sounds. When we read, we do not all
receive the same message from the same sentence or
story.
12. What
implications does this have for our whole human
race?
You could reason that if all
people’s perception is flawed in any group, large or small,
there could be many misunderstandings and conflict.
In such a society there would be constant litigation,
constant crime, and no end to war.
You can now imagine such a society.
It is the one in which we live.
It has always been so. In 950,000 years it has
remained the same, with no change.
This has been, and is the result of, having impaired
perception.
That is why the whole human race has
been, and is still living in, the Worst Possible Human
Environment. How could it be much
worse?
13. How did the IHE research
group solve the mammoth problem of flawed human
perception?
It wasn’t as complicated as it may
appear, even though in 950,000 years no one had ever solved
it.
In our democratic society, we have a law
system which is as perfect as we can make it, taking into
consideration our state of emotional
immaturity.
Our legal system
is assisted in it’s evaluation of important decisions by a
jury. Even though sometimes a
jury is given the power to decide life or death for
individuals, the jury has no legal qualification at all.
This is because the jury is made up of just common
people amongst us. Basically they, the jury,
help us to overcome humanity’s perception flaw.
A group of ordinary citizens hear the
plaintiff and the defence’s case and decide who is more
reasonably correct.
The jury solve our society’s perception
problem.
14. What has
the jury to do with the IHE
research?
Well, in our research we used the same
system. The research team called it the Wisdom Bank (WB).
The WB consisted of all the people present at the time
of the conflict or disagreement.
Sometimes it required more people to be involved than
were present. Ultimately, if an issue could not be resolved at
a local level the whole WB (jury) or research team would be
involved. The WB operated 24
x 7 as people’s perception operated 24 x 7, therefore the IHE
research had to be set up to function 24 x 7
also.
15. Did the
process of using the WB become cumbersome and
tedious?
Initially, it certainly was.
But now we do not have disharmony in the IHE team.
Now, after years of trial and error, 24 x 7, all issues
are solved ‘on the wing’.
16. What
about behaviour problems with
children?
Children were as accountable as the
adults. Children helped keep the
adults accountable every step of the way.
You may find it
difficult to believe that children as young as eighteen months
old consistently called meetings with the WB to solve problems
between themselves or with other adults.
This was and is still a matter of amazement to the
research team.
Children’s perception is as flawed as
adults. However, when they called
the meeting for the WB to make a ruling, the children seemed
to accept the WB decision much more gracefully than the adults
ever did earlier in the
research.
17.
How can
children make decisions at that
age?
Our empirical discovery clearly shows
that whether young or old, every human has a clear grasp of
what is equitable or reasonable.
Our law system calls this phenomenon ‘the reasonable
man’. Our research shows that
‘the reasonable man’ phenomenon only functions if the
individual is removed emotionally from the decision being
made.
In other words, it appears that the human
psychology can easily be impartial.
That is, only if the outcome of the matter being
decided upon has no bearing on them or their wellbeing,
imagined or in
reality.
18. What sort of behaviour
problems did your research experience from children being
involved?
Children were not responsible for any
more behaviour problems than the adults in the research.
Children, or
adults for that matter, became a problem when they were not
given access to the decision making
process.
Our IHE research consistently discovered
that children, for some reason, seemed to adhere and adjust to
new IHE laws much easier than
adults.
Children who joined the research forty
years ago have had children themselves.
Children in the IHE research tell us by their behaviour
that the IHE laws work. The IHE researchers have
learned empirically that to create the IHE, any laws
implemented, must by necessity, be in harmony with the human
psychology; Natural Human Nature
(NHN).
19. Does the
IHE research have a religious
inclination?
By definition a religion has very clear
and set dogmas that must be adhered to.
As the IHE research name implies, it is a social
research experiment!
The purpose of the research is to find
and test laws that create an IHE.
These laws must harmonise with the psychology of the
‘reasonable man’ or in other words suit all humans, (NHN).
A religion, cult
or sect will never be able to create the IHE for all
people. Religions, cults, sects or
gangs are organisations for specific people with a specific ideology for that specific group of
people. A nunnery is for nuns. A
library is for librarians. Rugby is for rugby players.
But none are researching the IHE for all humans.
None of these
organisations are specifically researching, 24 x 7, what
really creates the Ideal Environment for all
humans.
20. How would
the IHE research team define the
IHE?
The IHE is a place where all people
regardless of race, colour, creed or religion can feel
emotionally and physically safe from and with each
other.
21. Do you
mean to say that now people in the IHE research never
experience
conflict?
Basically that is correct.
Conflict issues will always come up between people
because human perception is flawed.
However, in the IHE, people become aware of their
impaired perception, and therefore everything is solved ‘on
the
wing’.
22. What
does it mean to solve everything ‘on the wing’?
Imagine when the first attempt was made
by the Wright Brothers to fly a machine.
In
the early stages, whenever they interpreted an aerodynamic
principle incorrectly the machine simply crashed, with the
pilot and whoever was on board sustaining most of the
injury.
This
is what it was like in the IHE research in the early
years. Whenever there was a
conflict, everything came to a halt and there were many, many
emotional scars from the crash.
As you can imagine, some conflicts were
minor, others were mountainous.
Solving everything ‘on the wing’ means to
solve all conflicts without emotional or physical harm, or
without having to stop everything.
Everything just keeps on going as normal – harmony or
the IHE!
23. Were there many ‘crashes’
(conflicts) in the beginning of the IHE
research?
In the beginning it seemed that the
conflicts (crashes) would never end.
At times, it seemed that the idea of creating the IHE
for humanity would die. Every so often someone
wanted to give up. This happened
regularly.
24. What
kept you all going?
There was always a glimmer of hope
because when the IHE laws worked, they worked very well.
But, when the laws did not work (crashed), it kept
hurting people.
Just like the
Wright Brothers, most of the people felt all we needed was
just a small adjustment and it would fly further. They were
right. The IHE was becoming more and more how we, humanity,
imagined it should have been from the
beginning.
25. So, is the IHE research over
now?
Not yet! Humanity is always in the
process of evolving; therefore the IHE is and continually will
be in a dynamic state. As long as there are humans
living, the
IHE research will never be completed.
Just like the story of flight, there is always another
adjustment that will make it fly smoother, faster, further and
with less
energy.
26. What
does it mean the IHE research is always in a dynamic
state?
Well, it means it will always be in a
flexible state of development. Unlike a religion, or cult
or institution. Their rules are set. The IHE is constantly
searching, testing and pushing the boundaries of better,
safer, more free and harmonious human
association.
27. Surely
all religion is a form of the
IHE?
It is quite possible that religion set
out to create the IHE for us all.
However, somewhere along the track it became
institutionalized. It set out hard and fast
rules to strengthen the institution and the people who were in
charge. They lost sight of the fact
that the religion, cult or gangs were to give people more
freedom and create more harmony amongst people.
Religion or cults were supposed to be
open, transparent, dynamic and
designed to strengthen human bonds.
Religions or cults were supposed to discover and give
us the IHE laws. The IHE laws were supposed to unite and suit
all people of the world, not just their religion or cult.
28.
What is the IHE view of
God?
The IHE has carried out extensive studies
on the works of Mohammed, Krishna, Lao Tzu, Confucius, Jesus, Zoroaster,
Galileo, Plato and many, many other great souls including more
contemporary individual prophets and ideologies.
We listened to,
and considered ideas from Popes, Presidents, ancient and
modern prophets, politicians, prostitutes, police, priests and
puppy dogs.
Most of the above appeared to have had
enlightened views on God’s splendour and greatness.
Some proved, in their own minds, that God did not
exist, never has and never will.
Asking someone about God turned out to be like asking
someone what is the best
colour.
29. So what
are you saying?
Most people of the world have a strong
sense that God exists. All of those people have
very little real proof, except to point to nature or other
phenomena and see God’s work in it.
The IHE
researchers are aware that the highest form of mankind’s proof
to himself that God exists, is in the manifestation of a
real-life practical working model of the IHE.
Unless a
religion, sect, cult or institution can create the IHE for all
people of the world to live in, then it stands to reason that
their view of God is flawed. It is reasonable to observe
that the only thing God would be interested in is the
IHE. In fact, the IHE is the
only place in which all humans would wish to live.
What is clear is that if God exists, a working model of
the IHE would definitely be proof of that.
We have a working model of the
IHE!
30. Is there
a difference between our social laws and God’s
laws?
In our society, we have a legal system.
How a society’s legal system manifests represents the highest
level of their evolvement. Or, we could say that the
manifestation of a society’s legal system represents how much
they have understood God’s laws. Or, how much humans have
understood their position relative to God. Therefore it would
seem reasonable that the IHE cannot ever be fully operational,
if there isn’t at least a clear understanding of the nature of
God, physics, nature, maths etc.
A society that has not understood where
laws have come from will constantly be involved in a painful
struggle.
There are three sets of laws that all
humans are in constant struggle with;
1st
Law- Our
personal laws. An individual’s perception
tells him or her how they should act in any given situation.
These are called personal laws. Remember, because all human
perception is flawed, this always creates challenges, inner
conflict and therefore pain.
2nd Law- The
social law. This is our legal
system. This law is the law that
all of us, in one way or another, agree to ‘the reasonable
man’. This is where man tries his
best to understand and manifest God’s laws, nature, universal
laws, cosmic laws or NHN.
3rd Law- God’s law. This law can be described
in many ways; natural cosmic laws, nature, life, universal
law, maths, physics, etc. This 3rd law is the law that no one on
earth has understood well enough.
When this law is understood well enough, the IHE will
clearly and forever more manifest!
Therefore no more struggles, inner conflict or pain.
All individuals
of planet earth, from birth to death, are engaged in a
constant struggle between these three law systems.
The best law
system in the world will always be the one that is the closest
to physics, maths, God, nature or NHN etc.
The IHE
researchers, therefore, came to know that God’s laws, maths,
physics etc are one and the same.
31.
What does
all this have to do with the
IHE?
You see, the IHE is purely based
on physics, maths, nature, God’s laws or as the IHE calls it,
Natural Human Nature (NHN).
Every law that the IHE uses can be proven
to be based on physics in any court of law.
The best social laws are those that are
the closest to God’s law (NHN).
Therefore, the IHE is the reference point
for all law on NHN. And there is nothing
outside NHN. If we get rid of humans, we
do not need laws; in fact, nothing really matters at all after
that! Therefore to answer the
above question, everything has everything to do with the
IHE.
32.
How can you
be so sure that the IHE has been created?
This is the 700 million dollar
question!
When Wilbur and Orville Wright first
invented flight, a sceptic approached Orville
and challenged him saying that flight was
impossible.
Orville’s reply to the sceptic was simple
– “stand here in this spot for five
minutes Mr Scrabb and if you see my brother go past you in a
flying machine, fifty feet above you, then you will know that
either you are experiencing an apparition or that we have
achieved the impossible”.
If the IHE is real, people and children
who use it will definitely tell you if it is real or something
else.
It
appears also, that humans have always known that what they are
looking for is the IHE. This is why we have
religions, cults, sects, gangs and other such organisations as
Freemasons, Rosicrucians and so on.
The eternal search for all humans is inner and outer
peace – IHE, God’s laws!
What humans are looking for is a place
where it is ideal for them. A place where they feel strong,
secure, free, safe, and close to God as they see it.
In plain language – the IHE!
Every couple, family, group or society
are in essence, trying to create the IHE for themselves and
their loved ones. The problem, as usual, is
our flawed perception. Whatever we try to create,
in terms of a safe social system, is going to be flawed.
Unless of course we focus only on finding laws that
create the IHE!
If the IHE has been created it will be
self evident. Forty years of intensive,
focused research is a long time in a human’s life.
If the IHE has been successful for that long, the
experiment has been proven to
work.
The IHE story is
ongoing!
